Hi Dear Traders, I just came accross the reviews below and was shocked how most of you are mistaken. I am a professional trader and I traded with about 10 different brokers. I know eToro very well as I also have a real account there and trade with eToro from time to time.

First of all if you Marvin or someone else lost money, never blame the broker, because it was your trading decision to choose a high leverage. eToro offers the leverage from 1:25 to 1:400. And if you were looking for a fast profit using a high leverage - it is your problem.

Tip: try to use low leverage especially if you are a newbie in Forex. I recommend to use maximum 1:100.

Tip: trade with fully regulated brokers

eToro has no office in UK. They have offices only in Cyprus (main), USA, Dubai and Australia. But they offer the local phone numbers for many countries, so that by calling their UK number (for example), you won't pay for an international call.

Usually eToro asks the traders to send the necessary documents. It is needed for the withdrawals and other reasons if they need to varify your account. I also sent them my docs and you can close the nuber of your credit card on the credit card scan that you send them. Just leave last 4 digits so that they can see hat this is the card you used for depositing. These may seem uncomfortable for the traders, but it is done for your account's security. They want to be sure that it is the owner of the account is changing the password not somebody else! By the way, every broker has an access to the log in details of its traders. Sad but truth.

Tip: be on the safe side by trading with the brokers who can guarantee the safity of your trading account.

eToro is a non-legit company. They provide newbie traders very high leverage so they can get burnt. I called the UK office to no avail. The trades are excuted very slowly. I lost a lot of money that way. It is a gambling site not a Forex Site. Stay away!

EToro is a simple plain scam.

I was only doing their practicing account and thought that I should my password. I looked around everywhere on their user interface and could not find anyway to change it so i wrote them that I wanted to know how could I change my password.

They asked me to provide many things - my bank account details, copy of my passport and then most alarmingly, they want to have scanned copy of both sides of my credit card. All that serious info just to change a password!!!!! And that rung serious scam bells in me.

They have your password and can do anything to your account and you can not change it in a user friendly way. Even after you provide them all the info they ask including (cc details) your new password is still known to them. Any ethical and honest finance/broking company's web interface will let you easily change the password and even encourage you to do so after first long on etc. but not eToro. Why wouldn't they allow a simple thing like change of password? Because they are not ethical or honest operator. Luckily i was still practicing so did not get trapped into their honey-pot. Be afraid, be very afraid of them.

yes,it is true,etoro is really scam,there are some official representative of etoro in india who brainwash people saying that it is very user friendly, it is ok but in real trading lot of manipulation they r doing,stay away from this broker

Needs more development!!!!! Very laggy during euro session, fees are higher, no limit orders, over weekend 25 pip loss lock, limited charts.

etoro is my 1st time experienced in living in the forex dream and of coz the first experienced broker i use in the forex world. WHY etoro said that it is good for a newbie? the answer is they hunting for a newbie traders for them an easy to steal the money, hunting the margin cal or stop loss. lagging platform and execution. so for the new fx traders that didnt know to differenciate the problem they will bear in mind that it is my fault, ohh i need to go for practice oh oh oh etc but here i tell u, most of ur loses is because of this platform etoro broker. now maybe i am deep experienced in forex market around 2years my advice dont give your MONEY to this brooker. hmm thats right its totally scammed for newbie. why have to having the simple platform while they can take your money just a simple way. hehe ok that's all. i recommend use the other micro account but NOT this broker. salam 4 muslim peace be upon u for non. bebeb from brunei RBLF

i hate it when it gets stuck at all times! but as everyone knows, its the easiest platform to learn thru demo account.

I have practice on this platform and find that

1) It is really very slow and orders can not be executed at that price you want.

2)If you want to withdraw money it seems to be very irritating.

eToro was my first trading experience broker. it is very friendly and easy to understand, expecially if you don't know nothing about trading. I thank eToro for the first trading lessons it gave me.

Try to stay away from this broker!!! Well, you can use it for learning purposes but not for actual trading. It is fake, they can control your account. They know your password and they can login to your account anytime they want.

How did I find out:

?Tried "forgot password" feature and they send reply with my plain password instead of changing it to something else. That means my password and YOUR password is not ENCRYPTED on their database.

Any one observed it?

They have a fantastic, very attractive interface. (attractive to newbies)

they are the only brokers who forces you to place stoploss orders. You know many a times their stoploss triggers and then reverses.

I really pity for those who stick to this hopeless broker.

Don't know about the withdrawal procedure with them.

It is a good and reliable broker. I trade for 3 months with eToro and everything is OK. Helpful and fast support, accurate order execution and smart account manager - that is all I need and got in eToro.
